How do you see Yamcha's level of superiority? Was him too much ahead the Saibaimens? Or were they at similar level, with Yamcha having more skills? |

A slight power advantage with much better skills. Yamcha is confident throughout their fight and even offers to fight the rest when he had seemingly beaten the first one. Then he dies. |

Yamcha- 1,480 Saibaman- 1,200 Fairly close in power, I think Yamcha is the best hand to hand combat fighter out of the humans so I'd say his skill is superior then the Saibamen. Yamcha's speed also seemed to be quite superior at the way he finished the Saibaman off. |

A play by play would be helpful here So they disappear from sight and the next shot we get has them clashing together, with the Saibamen's knee meeting Yamcha's shin while their arms lock Next is a pummel duel The Saibamen shoots up and Yamcha follows The Saibamen tries to grab Yamcha but Yamcha disappears from its path and ends up behind it Yamcha hits it with a Kamehameha and the fight looks to be over until the suicide bomb Yamcha pretty much dominated it, really. He moved faster than the Saibamen could track and ended the battle fairly quickly. The Saibamen could briefly fend him off, but it wasn't worth much Edited by lazerbem, Dec 3 2016, 04:38 AM.

Krillin is the only human who can literally dodge Nappa in close range combat. Healso produces the strongest attack based on Piccolo and Tien getting the f*** out his way. KRillin had closed the gap on Tien in terms of power level by having bigger gains than all the humans in that year. He had left Yamcha behind in power terms, but in skill terms he seemed ahead of Tien who was always ahead of YAmcha. They planted the seeds for what was to come for the rest of Z, Krillin is the top human |

By saying Yamcha being the best at hand to hand I meant if they were all at equal power levels. Yamcha would definitely lose in a fight to all of them. |

I'd wager they're close. Yamcha's attacks did all of nothing in the end aside from the Kamehameha, and the Saibaman still survived it. Saiba - 1200 Yamchan - 1330 Edited by Pyrus, Dec 3 2016, 05:17 AM.

Yamcha never hit it besides the Kamehameha though. And Tien did just about the same with the Saibamen, tbh. Only difference is that Tien's Saibamen didn't go for the suicide bomb. |

He never had a chance since Vegeta destroyed him, though I doubt Ten would fall for a trick like that. |

Tien wouldn't fall for a trick like that, but the point is that it was Yamcha's ego that got in the way and not his power since his beat his Saibamen just as decisively as Tien did |

They were actually pretty close in raw power, but Yamcha had him outclassed in the skill department. I haven't watched the anime or read the manga in a while, but I remember Yamcha having slight trouble with the Saibamen before using the KHH. The official PL for Yamcha is 1480, while the Saibamen are at 1200 each. I'm comfortable enough with those power levels, though I feel like the gap should be smaller. Personally, I would place Yamcha somewhere in between 1330-1400, judging by how the fight looked. |

It's also worthy note that the Saibaimen underestimated, took Tenshinhan easy (as said by Vegeta), while the Saibaimen went all out on Yamcha and this latter underestimated the Saib this time, as said by Vegeta. Is Tenshinhan way stronger than Yamcha? I think they being fairly close in power might sound fine. |

Well not quite Tiens Saibaman struggled to get to it's feet while, Yamchas one not only jumped up and grab him but also had enough energy to kill Yamcha. I think Yamcha performed pretty poorly against the Saibaman, Tien knocked it out with one blow while Krillin and Piccolo perfomed similar. |

Tien's Saibamen was also off-guard and overconfident according to Vegeta, he tells Yamcha's Saibamen to go all out. So that's one issue already, Yamcha's Saibamen was coming at him with a lot more ferocity and power. Furthermore, I'm not seeing the difference there. Yamcha's Saibamen wasn't struggling to get up because it wasn't trying to, it was playing dead and struck when the time was right. Tien's Saibamen on the other hand, was just trying to get up immediately. Also, Tien hit his Saibamen twice and his second strike was while the Saibamen's head was split in two from spitting the acid, so those are two extra factors that make the difference not as great. |

Agreed lazerbem. Besides the Saibaimen's head being still opened, Ten also hit him in a vital point and had to break a sweat after the fight. I think something like this might work: Saibaimen : 1,200 Yamcha : 1,400 Kuririn : 1,500 Tenshinhan : 1,600 Edited by ahill1, Dec 4 2016, 03:13 AM.
